The wedding quilt: “What a Bunch of Squares” pattern from Denyse Schmidt Quilts with a pieced back. It is machine quilted with unevenly spaced vertical lines and I added an embroidered patch with the names of the recipients and their wedding date. Most of the work was completed in the span of a month (actually, most of it the first week) – check out the progress in blogland and on flickr.

I really like it, and while its a big weight off my shoulders to have it done Im sad to give it away!

    It is so hard to give quilts away! I’ve been a lot better about giving away especially since my collection is growing so fast. So far I’ve given away 4 quilts. I love how this is double sided way to go!

    Thank you for responding so quickly.
    I didn’t realize that the blue/green quilt wasn’t yours. I knew that you got the design from a book, but I thought that you made it in her colors, too.
    It’s really neat to see how different yours is from the other one. Great comtemporary look and feel ! Congrats on a beautiful, FAST job, and it’s great that you have the memory of you two making it together !

    I’d love to try changing the colors, but the daughter and son-in-law just love the original. Ouch, it hurts to be squeezed into a box !

    Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you can do with some pics to drive the message home a bit, but other than that, this is fantastic blog. An excellent read. I’ll certainly be back.
