Somehow I stumbled on this tutorial.
I hope to try to reweave a twill fabric in a pair of shorts with a hole punched in it.
I have purchased the reweaving needles and an LED magnifying gizmo from http://lacis.com/
which is part of a textile museum in Berkeley CA that I also stumbled across.
I had no idea how the fabric was woven with the diagonal direction until I noticed “twill” weaving.
But this tutorial is the only one that I’ve been able to find with the exact description of what twill really means, step by step.
I have removed from the garment an unnecessary fabric belt loop at the waist (in center back) for the source of matching threads.
